LEADER Shannon Haskins DESCRIPTION

Come join us as we put together Thanksgiving food bags for families in need this holiday season. After we assembly the bags, we will go out and deliver to the families. It's a great way to connect and pray with families going through a difficult season. John 1:5 - "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." We will meet on the back patio of the campus just outside the cafe doors to assemble bags and then head off to our destination to share His love and hope!

Grants Mill

LEADER Connie Sue Whetstone DESCRIPTION

Where: Highlands Kids, Rm #1. Step in and go to the left. (Should be no less than 16 tables and chairs) Time: Set up 8-9am. Start at 9am. (We encourage people to attend the prayer session but you are welcome to start creating at any time.) 10-12pm. What: Very simple, one sided cards with stamped scripture verses and encouraging words along with some cute figures. We will be recycling the old connection/serve cards as the base. Theme for November will be designed in advance so no one will have to create their own design. Our goal is to make over 700 cards. 400 will be for Veterans and over 300 for Christmas. The set up is assembly line style with work stations that you man and complete the work at that station. The card is passed on to the next station for further processing until it is completed and ready for distribution. For other Serve Projects: These cards go with Food baskets and drives, Meals, Backpacks, Walker Bags, Assisted living centers and gift bags, Homeless shelters/ warming centers, Breast Cancer Centers, Foster closets, etc. Wherever and whatever the project, we want to supply a hand made touch of encouragement as a ministry to help share the good news. What to bring: I will have the supplies needed for this crafting. I need more manual die cutting/embossing machines for paper. If you have one and can bring it please let me know. This serve is great for all ages and skill levels. All paper crafters and Ink Stampers from any campus is welcomed. I also accept home made printed cards to help fill the request of the ministry. To other leaders: Please contact me if you have a need for these hand made cards to go with your project. I have some cards ready for distribution. There is an application for card requests that needs to be submitted so we can track the outreach.
