The Lovelady Center takes in approximately 100 new residents per month. Their mission is to "help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope...". Words of encouragement are given to each new resident on arrival. The goal of this project is to provide the center with enough cards/letters to reach these new residents as they begin their journey. Please send as many as you are led to write. Each correspondence makes a huge difference to these ladies. Include scriptures and prayers that will uplift them and give them the tools to strengthen their bond with God. Cards/Letters should be addressed "For You Lovelady". Please sign cards "Your Friends at Highlands". Please do not seal the envelopes. Please mail cards to: The Lovelady Center Rachel Elledge, Volunteer Coordinator 7916 2nd Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35206

Please drop these items off outside the church office Monday-Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM, Friday mornings until 12 PM, and during weekend service times (8 AM - 12:30 PM & 4:30 - 6 PM). Please label boxes “Vincent School”.

Join us on Thursday, April 30 at 11:30 am in Meeting Room 1 at the Fultondale Campus. We will be putting together appreciation bags for the Alabama Department of Youth Services correctional staff at the Vacca campus (located in Roebuck). The Vacca Campus is a secure juvenile correctional facility that serves adjudicated, committed male youth, most of whom are under age 16. While we assemble these bags, one of our staff members from the Alabaster campus, Elizabeth Bryant, who oversees all of juvenile ministry centrally will be telling us more about Vacca, its services and the potential for future serve opportunities.
