We will refreshing and spreading pine straw all around the bushes and in the planter areas at Rocky Ridge Elementary School. Morning of we will start rally at 7:45 at the top of the hill under the canopy at the main entrance to the school, listen to a short word from our pastor @ 8:00, identify leaders, and then break into groups. Gloves, wheel barrow, and a small pocket knife to cut the string on the bales would be helpful, but we will have some of these items available if you don't. This is great project for littles, but little bitty kids gloves are hard to find so plan accordingly.
We will be packing 500 back packs for survivors of human trafficking who are currently in residential recovery programs across the United States. Each bag will be assembled with care items and essentials to bless survivors on their healing journey. In addition to packing the backpacks, we will also be writing personal encouragement cards with a scripture of hope to include in each bag and praying over each bag and the individuals who will be receiving them.
We will be setting out to pressure wash all of Rocky Ridge Elementary sidewalks and patios. Morning of we will start rally at 7:45 at the top of the hill under the canopy at the main entrance to the school, listen to a short word from our pastor @ 8:00, identify leaders, and then break into groups. If you have pressure washer, hoses, and push broom please bring them along, if not, we will have some there that can be used. If you can bring one please let me know, we have several other schools that we are loving on this year and if we can send a pressure washer to another location that would be huge.
On July 12th, our team will serve Mrs. Phyllis, a widow in our church, by helping care for her home and property. After the passing of her husband, this has been a difficult season, and we want to meet both practical and emotional needs. Projects include a full garage cleanout, where her late husband spent much of his time; installing a new dishwasher; mowing and weedeating the yard; and planting trees in the backyard to help restore her sense of peace and privacy. This serve day is a way for us to honor Mrs. Phyllis, steward her home, and remind her that she’s not alone.

Jackie McCall is my mother in law. I was adopted at an early age and when I moved to Alabama to meet my mother, I soon after met Jackie. Jackie is a hard working woman who is a pillar within her family. Over the past few years the family has experienced great losses leaving Jackie the strongest of her 7 sisters. Through life's struggles Jackie has opened her heart and door to Many including myself who found themselves lost or without parents. She is 59 years old and has adopted her nieces 2 small children while also caring for her disabled sister and her also disabled husband. Recently Jackie suffered a major stroke and due to her husband's physical and mental state she was not found as quickly as needed to get her the medical help needed for her stroke. She is now on ventilation and fighting for her life at Baptist South. Jackie is in need of some yard word and home touchMany. Jackie also works extended hours at Wetumpka Health and Rehab caring for the residents with great love. We are looking to give her the love back through this serve project. Exterior paint/shutters New front door Light yard work/yard restoration New carpet Fence repair PRAYER We are hoping to get her home in order so that when she recovers she can have less worry as she is a caregiver to many.
