The Nest Foundation is a newly-formed non-profit which supports the Jefferson Co. Child Welfare agency, children in foster care, and foster families. This serve will focus on moving furniture and other inventory to a new, dedicated storage facility and sorting/organizing the inventory after the move. If you have a pickup truck and/or hand trucks available, that would be great! In addition to (or in lieu of) physically moving/organizing the inventory, The Nest will be accepting the following donations which should be in new or gently used condition: • Mattresses and bed frames (twin, double, and queen) • Bedding • Furniture • Housewares and kitchen essentials • Toys and children’s books • Luggage and backpacks • Children’s clothing (no event/school shirts or holiday items) • Baby gear and diapers/pullups • Large brown paper bags with handles and reusable shopping bags for transporting clothes and smaller items
Let’s come together to bless the hardworking staff of local correctional facilities and those who serve in correctional ministry! We’ll be wrapping and packaging fresh hamburgers to send as a token of appreciation to correctional staff, reminding them they are seen, valued, and appreciated. At the same time, we’ll be firing up the grill for a cookout of our own—enjoying good food, great company, and a beautiful day together. Whether you’re wrapping burgers or eating them, this is a chance to serve, connect, and show love in a meaningful way. Come be part of the impact! All are welcome whether you serve Correctional Ministry or not, kids welcome! We will huddle at the Grants Mill Pavilion (Back of the parking lot by HK door) at 10:15 AM! (Weather permitting, if it’s raining we will be in HK)
Come join our First Saturday Serve Family! This serve project is for any age or skill level, just have to have a heart to serve our elderly. We first huddle at Church at 8 am for prayer and morning snacks to get pumped up to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Then we commute to the warehouse to assemble love bags that include basic essentials for the homeless and elderly community. We end this serve by going to the Capitol Heights (senior apartments) to distribute the assembled love bags, pray, and encourage those residents. We look forward to serving with you.

Let's bless the Help Center by refreshing the office area where individuals and families can be prayed with, listened to, helped with life situations and offered services available to them in our area. The Help Center serves over 200 families and the homeless each week by supplying food, clothing, prescription help and diapers to those in need.
