Join us in serving our community and sharing God’s love at Manna House. Manna House is the food distribution program of the Huntsville Dream Center, a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are volunteers serving our community to meet the needs of those experiencing difficult situations. We serve by prepping meals, serving meals, cleaning, organizing, sharing Christ in a church service, and partaking in joy filled conversations. Proverbs 18:16 NIV "A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great."
We would love for you to join us as we come together to pack and pray over 1200 meals for our amazing neighbors in the Northwoods and Love Subdivision communities. Over the past four years, we have built some fantastic relationships with our neighbors, and we want to keep this gift of connection going strong. This is a wonderful indoor opportunity for you to serve your neighbors by taking a pivotal part in the Northwoods Community Night, where we share a meal and build lasting relationships between two neighborhoods. We will be gathering at the Cavalry Hills Community Center (2900 Fairbanks Ave Huntsville AL 35816) at 4:00 pm and will be done by 5:30 pm. So why not come along and bring your friends too? There's always room for more. We hope you can join us today and experience the joy of serving our community while building lasting relationships with our wonderful neighbors. Blessings!
Where: Highlands Kids, Rm #2. Step in and go to the right. (Should be no less than 10 tables and chairs) Time: Set up 8-9am. Start at 9am. (We encourage people to attend the prayer session but you are welcome to start creating at any time.) 10-12pm. What: Very simple, one sided cards with stamped scripture verses and encouraging words along with some cute figures. We will be recycling the old connection/serve cards as the base. The Easter cards will be designed in advance so no one will have to create their own design. Our goal is to make or finish over 800 cards. The set up is assembly line style with work stations. The card is passed on to the next station for further processing until it is completed. For other Serve Projects: These cards go with Food baskets and drives, Meals, Backpacks, Walker Bags, Assisted living centers and gift bags, Homeless shelters/ warming centers, Breast Cancer Centers, Foster closets, etc. Wherever and whatever the project, we want to supply a hand made touch of encouragement as a ministry to help share the good news. What to bring: I will have the supplies needed for this crafting. This serve is great for all ages and skill levels. All paper crafters and Ink Stampers from any campus is welcomed. I also accept home made printed cards to help fill the request of the ministry. To other leaders: Please contact me if you have a need for these hand made cards to go with your project. I have some cards ready for distribution. There is an application for card requests that needs to be submitted so we can track the outreach.

A veteran and his wife need some help with their landscaping. We need to weed flower beds, refresh the mulch, trim and few shrubs and tree limbs and replace several fence planks. This will be a shorter serve and perfect for children or families to help. Please bring gloves and landscaping tools. We will need a chainsaw or two as well as a couple impact drivers for the fencing part. Please feel free to reach out with questions. Landon 256-777-2809
