Westlynn is an 11 year old that has had surgery to reconnect both of her femur bones to her hip bone structure. Extensive surgery and long recovery. Her father is a Jacksonville police officer. One of our newest Dream Teamers, Lt Jason Campbell of the Jax PD, shared with me the need. Through our Charity Partner, Interfaith Ministries, we will be able to provide Westlynn and her family a ramp before she returns home from Michigan and the surgeries she has been undergoing.
Join us as we come together to prepare 100 bags of groceries for our amazing neighbors in the neighborhoods of Northwoods, Love, and beyond. For almost five years, we have built great relationships with our neighbors and we want to continue cultivating this gift which brings HOPE and leads to lasting life change. This is an amazing opportunity to serve indoors and support the Northwoods Community Night, which brings together two communities to build relationships over a shared meal. We invite you to join us at Manna House at 4:00 pm (2110 Memorial Parkway SW, Huntsville, AL) inside the large garage door at the back of the building. Together, we can make a positive impact on our communities and build stronger relationships with our neighbors. Let's take this opportunity to show our gratitude and give back to those who make our city great. We look forward to seeing you there!
This is an ongoing project throughout the month. We will be checking on and filling the 3 food boxes in Columbiana. Many families can use assistance with basic food items. I carry a bag of non perishable items in my car and fill the boxes as I see a need. I also straighten, organize, and clean the pantries when I stock them. I have encountered families that are picking up items as I am filling them and they are extremely thankful for this help in feeding their families. Reach out if you want to help with these pantries or you have other pantries that you would like to serve. Let me know if you would like to donate food for placement also.
