Rev Rimpsey is a retired Methodist Minister (50+ yrs) and is currently leading an Anniston Church of God church. He has a house that he is remodeling as best he can, that will serve as temporary housing for the homeless community. We will tear out the existing deck to get ready to build the new deck (serve project on Nov 9th). In addition to tools listed below: crowbars, prybar, reciprocating saw, circular saw. A dump trailer is being provided by Randy Walker.
Follow up to Nov 2nd serve project. We will build 18’ x 12’ deck, railed, steps, & ramp. Materials are being supplied by Mr Bill Newman, Ace Hardware. This is a project to support Rev Rimpsey’s efforts to have a temporary home for the homeless community.
We will provide bags of non-perishable food for children with food insecurities at Hidden Lake. While there, we will pray for the school, the staff and administration, and the students. Drop off your non-perishable food items at church. We will collect those items every week through 10/27/24. On Saturday, 11/2/24, we will assemble those items in gallon-sized bags and leave at Hidden Lake. You are also welcome to bring food items to Hidden Lake on 11/2/24. We will be putting together 1200 adoption packets! These packets will be vital in making the Giving Hope experience a success. Join the fun as we prepare for families to experience the love of Jesus Christ through generosity. We will meet by the Giving Hope banner in the lobby. Lunch will be provided. If you cannot stay the whole time don’t count yourself out, you are welcome to serve as long as you can.
