Join us as we play bingo and socialize with the residents of Gadsden Health and Rehab. We will assist them as needed and provide bingo prizes for the winners. Please bring 3 or 4 small prizes such as small paks of cookies, snack crackers, small lotions, body wash, or decorative items you might pick up at the dollar store. Huntsville College Preparatory School is moving to a new location. We are loving on them by packing up the school resources after the last day of classes. They need to be out of their current location before May 31. We will be packing up boxes and moving them into Pods. Please come help however you are able. Prayer teams are welcome to cover them (teachers and admin) with God’s blessings.
Let’s help the activities staff at Gadsden Health and Rehab as they pamper their residents with a manicure! Or if that’s not your thing you can visit in rooms or chat with the residents as they arrive for their manicure. The staff will provide everything we need including gloves and polish. All you need to do is show up ready to be blessed as you visit with these precious souls. Wear your serve shirt and join us! We will meet in the lobby at 1:55.
We have been partnering with breast cancer patients and survivors to provide post-surgery pillows. These heart-shaped pillows provide comfort and will remind these women that they are loved! The Huntsville Breast Center serves 80+ new patients each month. We have delivered more than 800 pillows since we started in May 2023! Praise God!!! Being resourceful and shopping sales results in each pillow costing about $3.80. We have used all our current supplies - and now we need more fabric and Polyfil (Each pillow has 8 ounces (1.2 pound) of Polyfil). We are hoping for monetary donations or gift cards to JoAnn Fabrics or WalMart so we can purchase things on sale.
Let’s put socks on the feet of men, women and children experiencing homelessness and are in need. Please donate brand new white socks for adults, they prefer that color. Children’s socks can be any color. Blessings! During the entire month of May we will be collecting socks. You can drop them off at the church office Tuesday- Friday 9-1 p.m. and ALL day on Sunday.
H.E.L.P. (His Everlasting Love Prevails) Food Ministry is a monthly serve that provides 27 local Eufaula families with food assistance. It involves picking up, sorting, and distributing food from an East Alabama food bank. Son Light Christian Fellowship is the project coordinator and the location of project. Time is Central Time.
Prepare and serve dinner after Wednesday night service. We bring prepared meals and serve the meal to the homeless and disenfranchised in Dothan. You can: - Prepare or donate to the preparation of the meal - Serve the meal - Pray with and/or talk with those in need during and after the meal We will arrive at the Harbor by 5pm to drop off food and setup to serve.
