The Lovelady Center is a Christian based shelter located in Birmingham that houses over 500 women and 130+ children! The shelter exists to help women and children get restored and back in to society. The shelter is all about equipping, empowering, and making a difference in the lives of others. This facility has a passion to advance the Great Commission, populate Heaven, and meet the needs of women and children in our community! Project Description: With 500+ residents in such a large facility the floors and walls can get dirty. That's' where we come in! We will be painting the resident hallways. Attire: Older closed toe shoes & older clothes since we will be cleaning/painting and it does get dirty! Red Serve shirts will be provided for anyone that doesn't have one. (Please email/text me your shirt size!) Feel free to bring water bottle. Personal belongings will be kept in a conference room if needed. Parking: Street parking will be available in front of the facility Arrival Instructions: Enter front door to reception desk area for check in. Check-in: Please download the Church of the Highlands mobile app on your phone (blue app) so when you arrive I can get you checked-in for the project Supplies: All painting/cleaning supplies will be provided so you only need to show up!
