LEADER Maegan Walker DESCRIPTION

Join our Student Community Group for a meaningful service project as we come together to assemble Easter bags for local high school students in our community. Volunteers will help sort, pack, and prepare thoughtful bags filled with treats and essentials to spread encouragement and joy during the Easter season. This is a great opportunity to give back, connect with others, and make a positive impact on students in our area. All helping hands are welcome! We will be located in the main office at the hightop tables.

The Lovelady Center takes approximately 100 new residents per month. Their mission is to "help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope...". Words of encouragement are given to each new resident on arrival. The goal of this project is to provide the center with enough cards/letters to reach these new residents as they begin their journey. Please send as many as you are led to write. Each correspondence makes a huge difference to these ladies. Include scriptures and prayers that will uplift them and give them the tools to strengthen their bond with God. Cards/Letters should be addressed "For a Lovelady". Please sign cards "Your Church of the Highlands Family". Please do not seal the envelopes. Please mail cards to: The Lovelady Center Rachel Elledge, Volunteer Coordinator 7916 2nd Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35206
