Ms Donna needs some help cleaning up large sticks from the bank in her yard. She also has four aluminum columns that need a fresh coat of paint on her front and side porches and her mailbox replaced with a new one that she has purchased. Inside, there is a heavy mirror that needs to be hung with anchors. Let’s get these things checked off ✅her list so she doesn’t have to worry about them anymore!

We’re excited to serve and support families at Another Chance Family Center—a nonprofit that provides supervised visitation and advocacy services to help restore parent-child relationships. On Serve Day, we’ll gather to cover the center in prayer and collect much-needed donations to bless the families they serve. ❤️ We’ll meet at 8:30 AM for a huddle and to watch the Serve Day message together. Assist the Baldwin County Angels with their free yard sale. Sorting, cleaning and loving on customers. The Serve team will be giving free hot dogs and snow cones as well. If you love to pray with people we will also have a prayer tent where visitors can ask for prayer and leave prayer request. We are also trying to pack the BCA pantry for their weekly food give away so all donations of non perishable foods will be very much appreciated. We are also collecting new socks and underwear for school children. These will be provided to any child in need. We will separate and package in packs of 3.

Packing bags with quarters, detergents and goodies for families to give away at laundromats across the city! We’ll meet in HK1 at the church to prep the bags, and then split up to head out across the city to deliver at different laundromats.

I am a foster parent for Montgomery county DHR and I have to take my foster child to their office for visits with their biological parents every week. A lot of other foster kids do visits there too. The room they have designated for visitation is never cleaned and the furniture and toys are dirty and broken. The same room is also used for many older kids who get removed from their homes and can’t get placed in a foster home right away so they have to live at the DHR office until they can find them a foster home. It’s sad. Right now they have to sleep on either a broken futon or an air mattress. They don’t even have pillows. There has been several times we come for a visit and they have to kick out kids who are sleeping in there! So I want to make a more welcoming and clean room for them to rest and sleep. I’m working with DHR to find another room we can make into a designated bedroom. So we will need a lot of hands the day of to move furniture and deep clean everything. But I would also love if anyone can donate new items for the rooms. If anyone has a steam cleaner to clean tile and carpet, that would be so helpful! Please reach out to me if you have one. I am working on a wishlist for donations, but we can also accept monetary donations to purchase items. Thank you so much for your help! I will have some cleaning supplies but, feel free to bring your own gloves, sponges, rags etc. they are in an unmarked building, so please reach out if you need help finding it.

Ms Robbie says her backyard is out of control since her husband passed away. Let’s help her get it cleaned up by raking up leaves, limbs and cleaning out her flower beds and trimming some shrubs and limbs on trees.
