I have a very specific list of their needs for outdoors, if you feel lead to help this ministry for women & single moms in recovery, that have been abused, and other traumatic events in their lives, please reach out and I am more than happy to give more specifics! This is both time to be donated & items donated for this serve and the women & families. If you can only do one or the other, also amazing- please reach out & I would love to talk! This serve is near and dear to my heart as a single mom, and I can’t wait to see God transform these women’s houses/outdoor area for their families! Main serve: -Weeding the playground for small children, laying weed barrier, remulching -weeding the flower beds along the house, laying weed barrier & remulching -adding a shade to the top of the playground Other needs are on our serve but just as an extra happy for the moms!

Grants Mill

LEADERS Jackson Willis, Scott Waldrep DESCRIPTION

Join us at The Grove School in Leeds to do some general cleaning and painting inside, landscaping and pressure washing outside, and bring some much needed supplies to help support this school. Through the ministry of this school, students are given an opportunity to be firmly planted in God’s love and grace so that they can grow and serve Him all their lives. The name, The Grove School, comes from envisioning our school growing a grove of children who bear fruit and change the world. Proverbs 29:18 says, where there is no vision the people perish. We hope by helping our students find their purpose and passion, we can give them hope, joy, and a direction that the world cannot. We hope that because they are so passionate in their pursuit of their gifts and talents, they will not be swayed by the world’s temptations. We pray that by planting them in the unending source of God’s love, they will never wither and instead, always bear fruit in order to change the world.

LEADER Chelsey Balch DESCRIPTION

Our small group will be hosting a baby shower for approximately 100 families who have infants in the UAB Women and Infants Center NICU on Serve Day. All people serving must be 18 years of age or older per hospital policy. The brunch will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and teams will arrive at 8:30 am for setup and instructions on where they will be helping! Clean up will be immediately following the shower and should be done by 1:00pm. Please let us know if you will be joining us via email. We would love to have people there ready to mingle and pray for these mamas! They are under a lot of stress with their babies being in the hospital for extended periods of time and we want to show them that they are not alone! We have a convenient baby registry set up on Amazon for our needed baby items. We can accept new or gently used items, gift cards, and monetary donations. We are also seeking an In-Kind donation from restaurants who might be interested in providing the food for the shower or help from small groups willing to provide some of the food/beverages. We will be assembling treat bags for the families Friday before serve day! Please email chelseybalch@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to help in giving donations to our event! Here is our event registry https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3D4QTFR33FBAV?ref_=wl_share

Our goal is to help Wings of Grace maintain a clean, welcoming space where community members can find what they need with dignity and ease and to support local families while promoting compassion, service, and community engagement.
