Ms. Gwen is an elderly lady whose husband has, in the past 6 weeks, become non-functional due to dementia. She is in the process of down-sizing but can’t seem to take a step forward due to caring for her husband. Join us as we help with yard clean up and house organization. Will need weed eaters, pressure washers, flatbed trailor to haul some items away, and muscle for inside and out. We will work 7-12 to get done what we can!

We will host a Funny Money Auction for the Independent Residents at John Knox Tower. Please bring items priced under $20.00 - 1 item under $20 or several that add to $20ish.  Bring as few or as much as you want, but don’t spend too much.  The residents bid against each other with funny money for the items.    What to bring?  They like cakes, candy, pies, large print puzzle books, large packs of toilet paper, 500 -1000 piece jigsaw puzzles, fresh fruit, door decor, stationary etc. Items should be new and something they can use.  Make it pretty!!!  Funny items are always a hit!   Come join the fun!

Women of Church of the Highlands, come serve with us at Fields of Grace Flower farm! Fields of Grace is a flower farm located in Shiloh, Ga that provides a safe retreat for hurting women and caregivers to experience the healing love of Jesus Christ. They provide a safe and therapeutic setting for women who have endured any type of trauma by offering a place for them and their caregivers to rest and recharge. We will be seeding, planting, weeding, sprucing up flower beds, and even herb crushing for their home-made bath salts.

Join the SERVE DAY 2025 RALLY - 7:00am at the Oxford Civic Center (breakfast provided) Our Mission: “No child sleeps on the floor in our town.” Join us in bringing joy, comfort, and dignity to children across our local counties. We’re delivering beds to kids in need—giving them a safe, warm place to sleep, dream, and grow. We’ll assign you to a team to deliver and assemble beds right in the homes of these deserving families. No experience needed—just a loving heart and a willingness to help. Come be a part of something truly meaningful. Help us make sure no child sleeps on the floor tonight.

Come serve as we partner with Convoy of Hope. We will connect and distribute food to thousands of people at Stillman University (inside). We need your gift set with over 10 different areas you can serve: Hosts, Check in, Parking, Prayer etc…. There’s a spot for you!!

We will be working to get the ARS Campus ready for the 2025-2026 school year. Some of the jobs will include: -moving furniture from hallways into rooms -putting new furniture together -pressure washing sidewalk -general outdoor campus clean up (little sticks and branches from trees / debris / weeds) -replacing discolored ceiling tiles -etc

Let’s help every student start strong! Join the Erase the Need drive to collect pencils, paper, crayons, and all the school essentials kids need to rock the school year. No kid should start school without the right supplies. Drop off will be at the Information Desk at the Tuscaloosa Campus. Let’s erase the need together!

Join us as we bless our community by giving away $25 of free gas to the first 100 cars! Volunteers will help pump gas, offer prayer to those who desire it, and hand out inviter cards to encourage people to connect with our church family. This is a beautiful opportunity to serve with love and compassion, sharing hope and kindness through a simple yet impactful act. Our goal is to truly be the hands and feet of Jesus—meeting practical needs and reminding people that they are seen, loved, and not alone. We will also pray for the BP location! Volunteer Roles Include: Gas Pumpers Prayer Team Greeters & Card Distributors Traffic/Line Management Let’s love on our city—one car at a time!

We will be going to Callie’s Place animal rescue and helping them with various projects around their adoption building, such as weeding, painting, etc. If you aren’t familiar with Callie’s Place, check out their Facebook page - this is a wonderful rescue run by a couple who take in unwanted, neglected, abused and medical issue animals. They care for them and find homes for the adoptable ones and for the others, provide them with their forever home.
