Fultondale

LEADER Jennifer Winborn DESCRIPTION

Join us to write letters of hope to those in our correctional community! The primary goal of Letters of Hope is to reach out to individuals in prison, offering a message of hope and reminding them that they are not forgotten and that they are part of our church family as well! Our services at Church of the Highlands are also broadcasted in Alabama Correctional Facilities. The inmates there have some of the same opportunities that we have as a church family, such as filling out a Connection Card stating they have accepted Christ or requesting prayer on the prayer portion of that Connection Card. What we do in Letters of Hope is reply to that card and celebrate with them if they have accepted Christ for the first time or acknowledge and pray with them using scripture in letter form. There are some guidelines involving this project. Some of them include: -Letters must be on COH Letterhead -Must use blue or black ink -Must use COH envelopes -No stickers or decoration of any kind -Your name is NOT included anywhere There are specific layouts/guidelines we use to write the letters and the envelope to be done as it has to meet the standards for delivery once they reach the Correctional Facility. I will have all of that with me and go over it all in detail. I will provide all materials; stationery, envelopes, pens, anything needed. Envelopes will already be filled out, we will just need people to help us pour into the hearts of these men and women of the Alabama Correctional Facilities by writing letters of encourange and prayer and remind them that God loves them, He has a plan for their life and we as a church love them. This will take place in Meeting Room 1 of the Fultondale Campus. This is an ages 18+ serve due to guidelines.
