Join us by serving the students and staff at Glenwood’s Allan Cott School for Autism through a deep cleaning of their class rooms and picking up trash and light yard work outside! Details: We will help wipe down classroom surfaces, desks, doors, and windows (inside and outside), pick up trash around the school grounds, remove weeds from the playground area, and clean and sanitize outdoor furniture. This is a practical, hands-on opportunity to make a real difference by creating a clean, and welcoming environment for the Glenwood community. Cleaning supplies will be provided, but extra supplies (like gloves, trash bags, or outdoor cleaning tools) are always helpful. Light to moderate physical activity is required (cleaning, picking up trash, yard work).

We will use our sweat and grit to help brighten up the sidewalks and exterior entryways for Ivy Classical Academy students. We have two access point for water hoses. We are asking that volunteers bring extension cords or hoses from home. We are looking for a friend of the school that may have a pressure washing machine with the round disc attachment that they would lend to us for serve day. It may be hot outside but we will be catching some water and wind from our work! Participants are asked to wear shoes they don’t mind getting wet or dirty or some toe of water proof closed toe shoe like crocks or rain boots. Volunteers are also asked to prepare for the heat by hydrating ahead of time. Also, please bring a large water bottle, snacks, sun protection and maybe a dry change of clothes for serve day.
