Thank you for taking the time to view our project. We are helping a young woman who takes care of her dad with dementia and her sister with Down syndrome full time. Her mom passed away and the daughter is the sole care taker for her dad and sister. We’ll be doing yard work removing overgrown bushes, planting new low maintenance flowers and redoing the garden beds!
The Mother’s Banquet is a special Serve Day outreach created to honor and uplift the incredible moms in our community. Many of these women carry heavy loads with little recognition, and this event is our way of reminding them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God and their church family. From the moment they arrive, our goal is to create a warm, peaceful environment filled with joy, encouragement, and connection. The banquet will include a catered meal, heartfelt moments of prayer, uplifting words, and a meaningful gift as they leave. More than just a meal, this is a moment of ministry—an opportunity to serve with love and excellence so that each mom leaves feeling renewed, appreciated, and reminded of her worth.

Meet at the Riverchase campus on Serve Day at 7:30 for huddle! Then, join us as we serve with our ministry partner, Birmingham Cross Cultural Connections – a gospel-centric, refugee and immigrant settlement and development organization in our area! We will support them as they host client families for a fun day centered around connection and building new and lasting friendships with our immigrant neighbors! We’ll help oversee set up, takedown, and different game/activity stations during the event. Kids are welcome and also encouraged to make new friends! Please reach out with any questions!
We will be painting a ceramic/plaster figurine with the kids and families of Children’s Harbor. Join us to help brighten the day of these families with serious ill children staying at Children’s Hospital. *Must be 16+ and background checked through Church of the Highlands.
Snack Donations for Grandview Infusion Center We’re collecting snacks, juices, drinks, peanut butter crackers, and similar items for the Grandview Infusion Center. Patients often spend 3–4 hours at the center during their monthly visits. These simple items can bring comfort and make a big difference in their day — but unfortunately, the center often runs out. Donations will be collected during Serve Day in July at the Fultondale Campus.
Join us as we bless Grissom High School by giving their outdoor spaces a fresh start before the school year begins! We’ll pressure wash sidewalks, clean up the courtyard by mowing, edging, trimming trees and bushes, and ensure everything looks excellent for returning students and staff! We will also assemble “Back to School” teacher bags with cleaning supplies (Clorox Wipes, GermX, Tissues). Feel free to bring any and all of these cleaning supplies for the project. This is a great project for all families to be apart of as we bless the facility and students of Grissom High School.
