Serve Day Project – Bag Assembly for New Moms at Ann’s Join us on Serve Day as we assemble care bags for the incredible moms at Ann’s who have recently given birth. These larger bags will be filled with essentials and encouragement to remind them they are loved and supported. We’ve already gathered the bags, tissue paper, and ribbon—now we just need your help to put it all together! Assembly will take place on July 12th at The Brook Besor. If you’d like to be involved earlier, you can also join the separate Serve Day project collecting the items that will go inside the bags.
At Lincoln Village Ministry, Little Linc Preschool and Lincoln Academy share the love of Christ with families living below the median poverty line in need of affordable childcare, private Christian education, and hope. Lincoln Village Ministry also provides transitional housing and mentoring to help single moms take steps out of poverty into the flourishing life God has for them! Join us as we help refresh, repair and renew the classrooms so they are ready to open their doors in August and share the love of Christ with these little ones! Also you will be helping us with ongoing renovation projects throughout our neighborhoods. Projects will include painting, deck repair, power washing, simple landscaping, crafts for back to school encouragement for students and teachers, and basic cleaning and preparation for the start of school.
We will have the opportunity to refresh not 1, but 2 playgrounds around Demopolis!! We will be applying fresh paint to existing equipment, repairing pieces that are broken and filling any other needs at each location. We will meet at the church, then divide into teams.
Join us in serving Norwood Elementary School by helping with an interior painting project to refresh and brighten the learning environment for students and staff. This project will be led by the school’s staff, but they are in need of volunteers to assist with painting classrooms, hallways, and common areas. No prior painting experience is required—just a willing heart and a helpful spirit. All supplies will be provided.
