LEADER Joe MacKenzie DESCRIPTION

Join us as we come together to prepare 100 bags of groceries for our amazing neighbors in the neighborhoods of Northwoods, Love, and beyond. For almost five years, we have built great relationships with our neighbors and we want to continue cultivating this gift which brings HOPE and leads to lasting life change. This is an amazing opportunity to serve indoors and support the Northwoods Community Night, which brings together two communities to build relationships over a shared meal. We invite you to join us at Manna House at 4:00 pm (2110 Memorial Parkway SW, Huntsville, AL) inside the large garage door at the back of the building. Together, we can make a positive impact on our communities and build stronger relationships with our neighbors. Let's take this opportunity to show our gratitude and give back to those who make our city great. We look forward to seeing you there!

LEADER Joe MacKenzie DESCRIPTION

Hey there! We would be thrilled if you could join us every Monday night to share a delicious meal and groceries from Manna House with our neighbors in the Northwood and Love Communities. We are all about restoring hope, and we believe that together we can make a positive difference in the lives of those around us as we connect. When you arrive, we will welcome you with open arms and assign you to a team where you can help distribute meals and groceries. Don't worry if you don't have a red SERVE shirt, we can provide one for you! You can bring your small group too, and we will make sure to accommodate everyone. In groups of 2 or more, we will visit our neighbors' homes and share a meal with them. We believe that this is a great way to connect with people on a personal level, and to build lasting relationships that will enrich our community for years to come. Afterward, we will gather at the SERVE trailer to share prayers and testimonies of the night. We are excited to welcome you to this wonderful opportunity to connect with our community, and share in the joy of serving others. So come on over to the Cavalry Hill Neighborhood Center parking lot at 2900 Fairbanks Ave SW, and let's make a difference together!

Riverchase

LEADER Debbie Fabre DESCRIPTION

Come join our Widows and let’s make fleece blankets for foster children all over Alabama! We’ve teamed up with a nonprofit called Fleecing the Flock, who provide these blankets to kids. They want to make sure every foster child has a cozy blanket. These blankets are the child’s, and they can take them with them wherever they go. They’re just cut and tied together, so no sewing skills needed! Bring a snack to share and let’s bless these kids together. The Bible says we should bless widows and orphans, and this is our chance to do it.

Columbus

LEADER Rachel snyder DESCRIPTION

Circles in Columbus is an Open Door community-wide initiative that invites participants to reflect on how they came to be in their current situation and establish plans for the future with S.M.A.R.T. goals to begin their journey to self-stability. They discuss new tools and resources that can be used to secure their plan. Our role during the serve is to set-up/clean-up their meal and to serve them dinner. We will have time to interact with the participants and build relationships with them as we serve them. We will be able to encourage them and remind them that God sees them, loves them, and has a purpose for their lives!
