Riverchase

LEADER Morgan Kern DESCRIPTION

3rd Saturday of every month 8:30am to 12:30pm. Bring your family and serve at a food bank. Opportunities to fill grocery bags, load cars, organize, and pray with recipients. This project is a blessing for the people we serve, and we are blessed in giving of ourselves. This is a great project for individuals and families alike. Maturity level is more important than age. The food giveaway occurs every third Saturday of the month. This is a good project if you are looking for a place to serve on a more regular basis. We have families that serve every month, once a quarter, and once a year. Come and be the hands and feet of Christ! We are in need of prayer warriors!!

Grants Mill

LEADER Carol Foor DESCRIPTION

Where: Highlands Kids, Rm #1. Step in and go to the left. (Should be no less than 10 tables and chairs) Time: Set up 8-9am. Start at 9am. (We encourage people to attend the prayer session but you are welcome to start creating at any time.) 10-12pm. What: Very simple, one sided cards with stamped scripture verses and encouraging words along with some cute figures. We will be recycling the old connection/serve cards as the base. The Easter cards will be designed in advance so no one will have to create their own design. Our goal is to make over 800 cards over the next few months. The set up is assembly line style with work stations. The card is passed on to the next station for further processing until it is completed. For other Serve Projects: These cards go with Food baskets and drives, Meals, Backpacks, Walker Bags, Assisted living centers and gift bags, Homeless shelters/ warming centers, Breast Cancer Centers, Foster closets, etc. Wherever and whatever the project, we want to supply a hand made touch of encouragement as a ministry to help share the good news. What to bring: I will have the supplies needed for this crafting. This serve is great for all ages and skill levels. All paper crafters and Ink Stampers from any campus is welcomed. I also accept home made printed cards to help fill the request of the ministry. To other leaders: Please contact me if you have a need for these hand made cards to go with your project. I have some cards ready for distribution. There is an application for card requests that needs to be submitted so we can track the outreach.

We first huddle at Church at 8 am for prayer and morning snacks to get pumped up to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Then, we commute over to the warehouse to assemble love bags that include basic essentials for the homeless and elderly community. We end this serve by going to the Capital Heights Apartments (senior apartments) to distribute the assembled love bags, pray, and encourage those residents.

Greystone

LEADER Craig Haskins DESCRIPTION

We will be building a wheelchair ramp and cutting privet back. Resident is on 100% O2 and can't leave house w/o professional assistance. The trailer is marginal and could use a MAJOR cleaning. Current plan is to build a small deck in front and come off of it with a ramp (should be less than 40 ') back of house has overgrown privet infringing upon trailer and a power line. Bring basic tools appropriate for deck build and/or cutting privet and/or cleaning supplies. Bring water and snack for yourself.
