We assemble baskets of grab and go goodies for the Auburn, Opelika, Lanett, fire and police departments and the Lee County Sheriffs Departments as a sign of our gratitude for the service and sacrifice for keeping our communities safe and secure.

Huntsville

LEADER Stacey Spray DESCRIPTION

Join us in serving our community and sharing God’s love at Manna House. Manna House is the food distribution program of the Huntsville Dream Center, a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are volunteers serving our community to meet the needs of those experiencing difficult situations. We serve by prepping meals, serving meals, cleaning, organizing, sharing Christ in a church service, and partaking in joy filled conversations. Grandview

March 2 is World Teen Mental Wellness Day. We have the opportunity to provide several Juvenile Detention Centers with goodie bags. In the goodie bags we will have scripture and prayer cards, coping strategy cards, and a little gift.  We will be doing a lot of cutting and taping and/or gluing! We will meet at the Grandview campus. The best way to get in the building is to park on the lower level of the parking deck and walk in the main entrance on the first floor. You will see SERVE signs from there. Call or text me with any questions!

Come take advantage of the opportunity to love on our homeless population in Birmingham. Participate by handing out food and water, toiletries, clothing, and most importantly prayer. So many just want someone to listen and pray over them. No need to bring anything-just yourself and make a difference! God at the Kitchen Table is a Riverchase small group that feeds shuts-ins and those in need from the Riverchase campus. We will be delivering those home cooked meals to those in need. Delivery takes less than 1 hour that consist of 1 - 2 deliveries per person. www.atthekitchentable.org

We will meet in the parking lot of Roses on Macon Road and hand out biscuits and spend time praying over people. If you can please arrive at 8:30 to help set up. We will begin praying and handing out biscuits at 9.

Madison, Huntsville

LEADERS Joel Banyai, Randall Rivers, Joe MacKenzie DESCRIPTION

We'll be doing vehicle mechanical and safety inspections for several of our friends in Northwoods to keep little problems from becoming big ones. If time and opportunity permits, we may do light repairs like tail lights, brakes, etc., or finish up ongoing projects. We will kick off with a hot breakfast, donuts, fruit, coffee, and more! See you there! Useful tools to bring: diagnostic and scan tools, ramps, floor jacks, impact wrenches for wheel removal, normal automotive tools.

Auburn Dream Center

All fabrics will be cut and ready to sew. We will also sew Bonding Hearts for East Alabama Health NICU unit. Bring your sewing machine with attachments, thread, and extension cord. For those that don’t sew, we will stuff small animals that are already sewn, you will need scissors for that project. Wear your red Serve shirt and join us!

Mrs Betty is a widow that needs help cleaning out her garden beds and cutting down some brush in her back yard. Come help us bless this sweet lady.

Greystone, Woodlawn

Come join us as we set up a free shopping experience for those in need in the Woodlawn area. Setup will be at 9:30 and take down will be at 12:30. In event of rain this serve may be cancelled and a notification will be posted here.

Auburn Dream Center

LEADERS Karen Greene, Skeeter Peacock Foster DESCRIPTION

Come join us in writing encouraging letters in response to the prayer needs submitted from our prison ministry connection cards. We will write anonymously and include scripture and written prayers to give our incarcerated family in God HOPE through Jesus. Training will be provided.
