March 2025 Outreach
SATURDAY, MARCH 1
PROJECTS
CLEAR ALL
Shoals

LEADERS Lynnette Walker, Nycole Jones DESCRIPTION

Join us as we write Letters of Hope to the residents of the Alabama Department of Corrections. This one-way communication is written based on the prayer requests of those attending our services and small groups behind the fences each week. Each Sunday our correctional ministry teams present the previous week’s message and offer prayer and fellowship for those who attend. Those attending services are encouraged to complete our Connection Card and voice their prayer requests and praises. You will be providing encouragement, scripture, prayer and a tremendous blessing to each recipient as this is often the only communication they ever receive from the outside world. Due to the confidentiality of this serve opportunity, participants and attendees must be 18 years old or older, childcare will not be available. All supplies will be provided. This serve will be at our new Church Campus in Florence and will begin at 8:00 before Saturday morning prayer which begins at 9:00. Feel free to attend prayer OR continue writing until we end our time together at 10:00! Please call or text Lynnette Walker with any questions at 205-412-4763.

Grandview

LEADER Jill Lawley DESCRIPTION

This serve is writing encouraging letters to our extended family in the correctional facilities with scripture, encouragement, and prayer. Writing a letter will bless you as it will encourage them to walk closer to our Lord. It is a family friendly serve as you write your children can draw or color pictures to bless them as well. We will also be assembling snack bags for the juvenile correctional ministry. The best way to get into the building is to park on the first floor of the parking deck and walk through the main entrance on the first floor.
