This project is geared toward women and children. The Lovelady Center (LC) Card Project to benefit the residents of the Lovelady Center. Their mission is to: "Help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope for the future as a contributing member of our community. The Lovelady Program ensures each woman is taught how to overcome barriers to success by providing access to needed services." Some guidelines for the project: 1. The LC continually needs cards of encouragement so you cannot make too many or too few. 2. Prayerfully write each card and be intentional about the message, whether you purchase or make them. 3. Take your time. It is better to make/write 1 with purpose than 50 hastily thrown together. 4. Locate scripture that speaks to: how God loves us how He has a plan and purpose for us God does not condemn us forgives us and remembers the sin no more He is a loving Father Christ died for us we have hope and can live with Him in eternity 5. Try to place each card/letter in its own envelope so the ladies have their own personal mail to open. 6. You may sign your FIRST NAME ONLY to the cards. 7. You may write on the front of the envelope: For a Lovelady, For a Child of God (any such sentiment that is genuine) 8. PLEASE DO NOT SEAL THE ENVELOPE. Mail and packages are subject to inspection for the safety of all involved. 9. Put all the cards/letters in one larger envelope. Seal this one and address to: Joni Morton, Volunteer Coordinator c/o The Lovelady Center 7916 2nd Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35206 Thank you!
