Come join us as we prepare the 1100+ meals our team will bring to our amazing Northwoods & Love Subdivision neighbors. We have built some great relationships with our neighbors over the last 3 years and want to continue to cultivate this gift. This is a great indoor serve opportunity supporting the Northwoods Community Night that goes into two communities to build relationships over a shared meal. We will meet at the Cavalry Hills Community Center (2900 Fairbanks Ave Huntsville AL 35816) at 4:00 pm and should be done no later than 5:30 pm. Bring your friends! There is always room for more.

We are so very excited to bless struggling students in our community with school supplies for the coming year. The “Locker Revival” will take place on July 8th when we will host a “shopping day” for the students to come “shop” for their supplies. Everything is completely FREE! To make this outreach a success we need donations of school supplies and backpacks. We have two ways you can participate. You may choose a student age group from our signup genius or you may purchase individual items from our Amazon shopping list. Both links are posted below. Supplies and backpacks can be dropped off at the Greystone and Grantsmill locations during 1st Saturday serve. Thank you for being a blessing to these students. May your generosity be returned one hundred-fold. *Locker Revival Signup Genius https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0F4EAEA82BA4F85-locker *Locker Revival Amazon Wish List https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3FI59EQH3XXZK?ref_=wl_share

LEADER Deniece Moody DESCRIPTION

We are partnering with breast cancer patients to provide post-surgery pillows. These heart-shaped pillows provide comfort and will remind these women that they are loved! Everyone can help - even if you don't know how to sew! Sewers : bring your machine, thread, scissors, etc. to sew the heart pillows. Non-Sewers : we need folks willing to cut fabric (pattern provided), iron, put stuffing into the sewn hearts, and hand-sew the openings closed. We are going to continue making pillows - and then continue providing them in the future. Thank you for caring for women living through their breast cancer journey!

This project is geared toward Women and Children. The Lovelady Center (LC) Card Project to benefit the residents of the Lovelady Center. Their mission is to: "Help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope for the future as a contributing member of our community. The Lovelady Program ensures each woman is taught how to overcome barriers to success by providing access to needed services." Some guidelines for the project: 1. The LC continually needs cards of encouragement so you cannot make too many or too few. 2. Prayerfully write each card and be intentional about the message, whether you purchase or make them. 3. Take your time. It is better to make/write 1 with purpose than 50 hastily thrown together. 4. Locate scripture that speaks to: how God loves us how He has a plan and purpose for us God does not condemn us forgives us and remembers the sin no more He is a loving Father Christ died for us we have hope and can live with Him in eternity 5. Try to place each card/letter in its own envelope so the ladies have their own personal mail to open. 6. You may sign your FIRST NAME ONLY to the cards. 7. You may write on the front of the envelope: For a Lovelady, For a Child of God (any such sentiment that is genuine) 8. PLEASE DO NOT SEAL THE ENVELOPE. Mail and packages are subject to inspection for the safety of all involved. 9. Put all the cards/letters in one larger envelope. Seal this one and address to: Joni Morton, Volunteer Coordinator c/o The Lovelady Center 7916 2nd Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35206 Thank you!
