Grants Mill

LEADER Brenda Williams DESCRIPTION

The veteran’s retirement facility in Pell City has asked if we could fill their bird feeders in the patio areas located around the facility. They have not been filled since Covid, and with cooler days coming vets can enjoy sitting outside in the patio area watching the birds. This is a family friendly serve, and one we have done several times in the past. Since we will be outside, please bring a hat and water.

We will be delivering bags of groceries to our senior residents at Drake. We will take this opportunity to love on some of our older residents who are always so receptive of us and who often pray for us and our endeavors. We have been led by the following scriptures: “Stand up in the presence of the elderly, and show respect for the aged. Fear your God. I am the Lord.” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:32‬ ‭NLT

Riverchase

LEADER Sheryl Sheppard DESCRIPTION

We will be providing a FIRST SATURDAY SERVE collecting plastic grocery style bags. These bags will be used by the women of the Alabama Department of Corrections to crochet sleeping mats for our homeless community. It takes 500-700 bags to complete one 6’ mat. With the colder months approaching, the need for the mats are increasing. There will be a decorated box for drop off outside the overhang drive located in the rear of the Riverchase Campus. We will be set up until 3:00pm. Our plans are to provide this serve each FIRST SATURDAY! What a beautiful way for the inmates to give back and a great way for you to recycle! All done in the name of Christ Our Lord.
