CLEAR ALL
Huntsville

LEADERS Tiffany Thomason, Jill Paulin, Rutger Hill, Nathan Thomason, Keafen Shoemake DESCRIPTION

Lincoln Village Ministry serves the Huntsville area by sharing the transforming power of the gospel of Christ through educating, sheltering, comforting and equipping the Lincoln community for Christ's glory. Lincoln Village has recently purchased 35 more homes for single families to have a safe place to call home and to grow in their spiritual journey. We would love to have you pray over and then join us as we prepare the homes for families to move in. This is a "no skills required" job. We will be clearing out and cleaning up debris from the homes being renovated. You will want to wear old clothes, closed-toe shoes, work gloves and of course a mask. We will meet at the Village. Please feel free to email or text with any questions or concerns.

The Birmingham Dream Center

LEADERS Jan Lockhart, Julie Spencer DESCRIPTION

The Lovelady Center (LC) Card Project to benefit the residents of the Lovelady Center. Their mission is to: "Help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope for the future as a contributing member of our community. The Lovelady Program ensures each woman is taught how to overcome barriers to success by providing access to needed services." Some guidelines for the project: 1. The LC continually needs cards of encouragement so you cannot make too many or too few. 2. Prayerfully write each card and be intentional about the message, whether you purchase or make them. 3. Take your time. It is better to make/write 1 with purpose than 50 hastily thrown together. 4. Locate scripture that speaks to: how God loves us how He has a plan and purpose for us God does not condemn us forgives us and remembers the sin no more He is a loving Father Christ died for us we have hope and can live with Him in eternity 5. Try to place each card/letter in its own envelope so the ladies have their own personal mail to open. 6. You may sign your FIRST NAME ONLY to the cards. 7. You may write on the front of the envelope: For a Lovelady, For a Child of God (any such sentiment that is genuine) 8. PLEASE DO NOT SEAL THE ENVELOPE. Mail and packages are subject to inspection for the safety of all involved. 9. Put all the cards/letters in one larger envelope. Seal this one and address to: Joni Morton, Volunteer Coordinator c/o The Lovelady Center 7916 2nd Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35206 Thank you!
