CLEAR ALL
Huntsville

LEADER Joel Banyai DESCRIPTION

We'll be doing vehicle mechanical and safety inspections for several of our friends in Northwoods to keep little problems from becoming big ones. If time and opportunity permits, we may do light repairs like tail lights, brakes, etc., or finish up ongoing projects. Useful tools to bring: diagnostic and scan tools, ramps, floor jacks, impact wrenches for wheel removal, normal automotive tools.

Auburn

LEADER Renee Freeman DESCRIPTION

Serving the Drake community in prayer, fellowship & medical needs such as BP & glucose checks.

Huntsville

LEADER Joy Ragland DESCRIPTION

Hey Serve Team! The Downtown Rescue Mission is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization committed to bringing the hope of the Gospel to the hurting, hungry, and homeless in our community. Let’s be a blessing to them by lending our helping hands to assist in cleaning up the area surrounding their facility and their soon-to-open transitional housing home for women who complete the life transformation program. Work gloves are needed, but can be provided upon request. Please let me know if you’ll need a pair. *This is an outdoor and indoor serve, cleaning materials, reflective vests, trash bags, and trash pickers will be given to each serve team member upon arrival.

Auburn

LEADERS Tina Gottesman, Lara Potts DESCRIPTION

Redeeming Grace is a residential program for women transitioning from a rehabilitation program or a correctional facility to long term, successful, independent sober living. We will be painting the exterior window trim and concrete block foundation.

Tuscaloosa Dream Center

LEADER Abbie Reed DESCRIPTION

Preparing snacks for students that attend Taylorville Elementary School. We will be providing the love of Jesus.

Riverchase

LEADER Aly Elliott DESCRIPTION

We are doing encouragement cards for commercially exploited women. Each month, the TraffickingHope outreach ministry team delivers gift-bags to these women; each bag contains a card handwritten by us adding genuine blessings to their lives. This is especially meaningful as we approach the holiday season. We will fellowship, eat, drink, laugh, pray, and write; come as you are!

Grandview

LEADER Anna Bynum DESCRIPTION

On First Saturday, October 3rd, we will be writing cards for the families who will receive gift cards for Thanksgiving Outreach this year. We would love your help on this special touch - there is nothing like receiving a personal note along with being served that lets the person know how much they are loved and valued. We will huddle at Grandview at 8am and get started from there.

The Birmingham Dream Center

LEADER Jan Lockhart DESCRIPTION

We are looking for 12-15 people to assemble sensory activity boards for the residents at Greenbriar. We will provide the supplies. We will meet at the Birmingham Dream Center at 10am, and should be done no later than 11:30 or 12.

Grants Mill

LEADER Jeremy Dill DESCRIPTION

We will be serving around Irondale Community School. After huddling together, we will split off into groups. One group will be pulling weed and cleaning up a small garden/courtyard they have. Another group will be outside cleaning windows. There may be more projects that come up closer to the day.

Shoals

LEADER Austin Morse DESCRIPTION

Come join your faith in prayer with members of the Shoals Community and be a part of covering students, teachers, and the families they represent for our First Saturday Serve Project as we walk the campus of UNA! This will be a great and safe serve for anyone, including families - looking forward to seeing you there! We'll meet at the fountain near the commons building. Recommended parking is in the lot at the intersection of East Irvine Ave and North Seminary Street.

The Birmingham Dream Center

LEADER Jan Lockhart DESCRIPTION

We will be serving lunch at the First Light on the 1st Saturday in October. We will need help plating food and serving to the 20-30 women that are at the shelter.
