Kathy is a retired RN who decided to participate in the VA Caregiver program and invite a Veteran to live in her home in Smith Station. The VA then asked her if she would accept another Veteran, then another and another.....until now she has 12 Veterans living in her home as she and her family cares for them. While Kathy and her family do an amazing job and the VA inspects and approves the home monthly, there are some needs for minor home improvement and a little TLC. There are needs for skills like plumbing, electrical and HVAC as well as painting, yard cleaning and spruce up. We will work on the home then also provide the Veterans with a cookout and a ceremony thanking and honoring them for their service. We would love to have as many people as possible show up to help make Loving Touch the best home for these Veterans as a sign of gratitude for honorably serving out nation. We will work on the facility, grill a meal for the Veterans and Thank and Honor them for their service.
