Redeem Women’s Hope Bags

LOCATION W.C. Bradley Offices (Chattahoochee Room) 1017 Front Avenue Columbus, Georgia 31901 DESCRIPTION

Redeem is a ministry under “Take the City” that focuses on ending sex-trafficking and helping rescue women through street teams, online outreach, and a clothing closet. Our Serve team will be sewing Hope bags for the street teams to pass out. The bags contain personal hygiene items and a card with encouraging words. We will meet in January to discuss more in-depth and then cut fabric needed to sew the bags. We will divide the fabric out and we will sew bags on our own time throughout the month. We will bring them back (finished) in February. Please bring any fabric you want to donate so we can cut out the pattern. We will also have fabric everyone can use. If you can’t sew or want to do more than just sew, you can help by: Collecting the following TRAVEL-SIZED items to fill the bags: Shampoo Body Wash Toothbrush Toothpaste Comb Feminine Hygiene Products Deodorant Hand Sanitizer Pen/Small Notepad Chapstick Peppermint/Small Candy Write cards of encouragement to go in the bags. We will talk more about these at our first serve. Our Redeem contact shared how she herself was saved from a life of addiction and exploitation by a Hope bag being given to her several years ago! This is an amazing ministry and we are so excited to partner with them to help women stuck in this life! Enter at the main entrance with the big anchor. We will meet in the Chattahoochee Room.
